King Edward V King of Wales Portrayed By: Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII
King Edward is a strong and just ruler. He is fond of games and entertainment at his court. For being so wise, he is also young. Try not to cross him, for he will and might behead you, like he has done to others. He recieved an annulment of his first marriage from the Catholic Church. He has but two heirs, Prince Edward VI and Princess Esme, and is married to his young wife, Queen Elizabeth, whom he has found true love with. But does the eye ever wander?
Queen Elizabeth of Pennbrook Queen of Wales Portrayed By: Anita Briem as Jane Seymour
Queen Elizabeth, the second wife of King Edward V and the mother of Prince Edward VI and Princess Esme. She is a strong and bold woman, but also caring and kind hearted. She stands by her husband and is always looking out for her son. She is currently pregnant with her third child, hopefully another son for the King. She is skilled in many languages, dancing and poetry. But starting the talk of politics, she is very outspoken and no one can tame her.
Prince Edward VI Prince of Wales Portrayed By: Robert Pattinson
Prince Edward VI, the son of King Edward V and Queen Elizabeth. He is fond of games and knowledge. He has an interest to be King when the time comes and has prepared himself for what duties will be bestowed upon him when the time has come. He is betrothed to Princess Isabella of Spain since he was born, who now resides in the kingdom. Although he knows his duties, he is in love with Princess Andondia of Eden, which is kept a secret from everyone. Will he choose duty and obligation or love?
Princess Esme of Wales Princess of Wales Portrayed By: Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn
Princess Esme, the daughter of King Edward V and Queen Elizabeth. She is bold, beautiful and strong. She is a lot like her mother when it comes to being compassionate and full of knowledge. She has many suitors, but like her brother, will most likely become betrothed to someone. She is friends with almost everyone she meets and is always laughing and dancing. Will she throw away her crown for love or realize that duty has more of a presence in her life then she likes?
Lady Anne of Calais Lady in Waiting to Queen Elizabeth Portrayed by: Scarlet Johanson as Mary Boleyn
Lady Anne of Calais is Lady in Waiting to Queen Elizabeth. She is the daughter of Lady Marguerite and Sir Anthony of Calais. She is always full of energy and life, loving to defy her parents and officals most of time. She has no deisre to be Queen, but often toys with the idea. She is attracted to Prince Edward VI and has often made advances on him, but has been refused. She is close to Prince Edward VI's fiance, Princess Isabella. Unbeknownst to the King, Queen and the rest of the royal house, she wants nothing more then to be Edward's wife. How far will she go to get what she wants?
Sir Brandon Knivert First Knight to King Edward V Portrayed By: Henry Cavil as Charles Brandon
Sir Brandon Knivert, First Knight to King Edward V and also a close friend of Prince Edward VI. He has always fancied Princess Esme, but has kept his mouth shut about the idea. He is strong, brave and fierce when it comes to battle. He has seen many battles and led the army of Wales to many victories.
Cardinal Thomas Brereton Cardinal & Religious Clergy Portrayed By: Sam Neill as Cardinal Wolsey
Cardinal Thomas Brereton is close to King Edward V, but is not looked fondly upon by other members in the Royal House. He is intelligent and sneaky, having things he shouldn't, such as many wives and mistresses, as well as bastard children. He advises the King as well as offers opinions on many subjects. He also over looks some of the King's matters and helps cover up any scandals that occur. He is also ruthless and cunning. And he will do what ever it takes to make sure his neck, stays right on his head.
Princess Isabella Of Spain Princess Of Spain Portrayed By: Kristen Stewart
Princess Isabella of Spain, the only daughter of King Charles and Queen Catherine. Her brothers, Prince's Phillip and Charles II remain in Spain and are betrothed to be married. She is betrothed to Prince Edward VI of Wales. They have met on few occassions and she has fallen in love with him. Her heart is sweet and her mind pure. She loves with her whole heart and knows her duty as a princess. She resides with the royal family of Wales, where she will eventually marry Prince Edward VI. She is also good friends with his sister, Princess Esme. Will she discover that her lover's heart does not truely belong to only her?
A time of war, freedom, love and duty. Two rival kingdoms, each with their own thriving populations, still have yet to create some sort of treaty. Unknown to the two kingdoms, the Prince of Wales and the Princess of Eden are secret lovers, both of them betrothed to others at birth.
With the future of both the kingdoms at stake, will these two lovers be able to find a way to be together or will they choose their duty over their love?
