RULES
RULES OF ETIQUETTE
1. Be respectful to the members on the board and to staff. No one likes to be treated poorly when they are so post to be having fun here.
2. Please remember to be respectful towards others in the C-Box. This is a paid privaledge, disrespect towards it will not be tolerated. While speaking in character in the chat box, you may yell, scream, joke around. But, any actual fighting between members and other people will not be accepted or tolerated. We reserve the right to ban any member from the chat box without warning.
APPLICATION, ABSENCES & ACCOUNTS
3. If you are going to be absent or away for awhile, please post in the thread for "Absences". This was we are able to know where you are and what you want to happen with you character.
4. You may apply for only 2 main cannon characters and two myoc characters. There are only going to be a limited number of myoc characters on the board at a time.
5. MYOC: Please fill out the entire application before submitting it in the 'Make your own Character' board. Each application for a make your own character, will need to be approved by BOTH admins before you may start posting. Please make your sample post in the first person.
6. Please only one character per account. You many have as many characters as you'd like, just please make a new account for each one. When making a character make sure you read the rules. The admins will post in the application thread you make and will tell you if there is anything you need to fix. We will be honest if you have forgotten something so don't think we are being mean for the fun of it or anything. we just want to make sure that people know their character. Please wait for the main admin (Isabella & Andonia) to approve your account.
7. I ask that you please do not post your character in a thread before you are accepted by the admins. There is going to be a 24 hour waiting time until your character is accepted. That way other people may try out for the parts of the characters.
CHARACTERS
8. NO GOD MODING. You are responsible for your own characters actions. If you do not have permission to make someone else’s character do something, then don’t do it.
9. I ask that everyone remains active with their characters. That means you post them three times a week, every week. If they have not been posted and there has been no post of an absence, your character will be deleted and up for grabs. This doesn't mean you can not apply for that character again.
10. I ask that everyone posts a picture of their character and a banner if you can find one. It helps us visualize the character when reading threads. Do not use an icon as a avatar, we would like to be able to see your character. There are plenty of pictures out there. Make sure to also set up your email, instant message and voice mail when you are accepted by the Admins.
POSTING & THREADS
11. Please do your best not to post one liners. They are really hard to rp off of. It’s really easy to get three to five sentences at least, so push for that or more. Be descriptive; emotions and clothes alone take up about three sentences. Make sure you at least post a paragraph or more, it helps make the story move along and more interesting to read. I ask that you post a minimum of two paragrahs when posting. A paragraph contains five to ten sentences.
12. When you are finished with a thread, I ask that at the beginning you post "CLOSED" so that I know they are done with. Your threads will never be deleted, they will be moved to the archives.
13. Cursing and sexual content is allowed. It happens in life, it can happen here. Try to mark your threads with a warning if it becomes sexually explicit. I ask that you please place (xxx rp) in the thread title if sex does occur. That way people are aware that there is that type of content in the thread.
14. I ask that you please post in the first person. (Example) I watched as Edward looked at me with lust in his eyes, his gaze deeping as his eyes travel up and down my body.
15. Make sure to put speech in quotes. (Example) "I'm not afraid of you." I said softly.
16. Please pay attention to your grammar and punctuation. We pride ourselves on being an intermediate role play forum. So, take your time with your postings, use commas and periods. The spell check button is there for a reason.
17. You must post your character(s) twice a week. This is mandatory. If your character(s) have not been posted twice in the time limitation, you will recieve a warning. After the warning, your character will be deleted. You will be able to reapply for that character, but be aware that people might snag them up.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING...PLEASE RESPOND WITH "I UNDERSTAND".
